The Nexus has seen better days: streets are torn up, buildings are burning to the ground and the unlucky victims of Khan’s wrath lay dead in random places. Some Nexus residents made poor housing choices by constructing their rich houses or condominiums on the borders of the Industrial Area. There’s no mistaking it: the boy’s cell phone has lead the intrepid group to a slightly unsafe area, but normal-looking home.
It’s a standard two level building, modern-looking and made up of smooth wood panels. The open windows of the home are covered by sets of dark blinds. An iron gate surrounds the property, and if one notices the finer details, signs of a security system are evident on the property. A camera near the front door, for instance.
The need for safety and privacy is apparent, since the nearest neighbor is a few minutes away, as if whoever lives here wants solitude for undisclosed reasons. A slightly open front door is never a good sign, but the unusual part is that the door doesn’t look broken down or forced open. Whatever the case, something suspicious is going on here.
